Remove  fuel filler cap (T) and check for sufficient fuel. Fill if necessary.   NEVER USE FUEL/OIL MIXTURE. Tank capacity '   7.0hters (1.8 US. gals.. 1.5 Imp. gats.)
Unscrew   filter cap    ®  and  check  engine oil level,  making sure it is between UPPER and LOWER marks, on the gauge-Do NOT screw in   filler   cop when checking. Use oil of proper viscosity grade.

STARTING  THE  ENGINE
Turn fuel cock 0 to "ON" position. Position "R" is for reserve tank (1.5liters,0.4U.S.ga!..0.3lnip.gal.). Insert key into mam switch (2) and turn it to "ON" position. Make sure neutral indicator light  (green) on the speedometer is ON.

Twist throttle grip (|> inward slightly and depress kick starter with right foot, starting from top of siroke and following through to bottom with a rapid and continuous kick. Depress it two or three times until engine fires.
In cold weather, turn choke lever (4) to fully "CLOSE" position^. Return it to "OPEN" position as engine warms up.

Speedometer (I) indicates speod and odometer 0 is included in it to record  the mileage travelled.
Place switch (*D in red-dot position (or day-time riding. Position "l_* is (or low beam or dim and position *H" for high beam.
Move switch (!>; to "R" position when making a right turn and to "L~ position when making a left turn.

Shifting sequence BRAKING SAFETY
Use the engine brake whenever possible. Note - Avoid down-shifting for acceleration or   engine  braking if you are traveling too fast  for each gear
When braking.  USE   BOTH   BRAKES  AT   THE   SAME  TIME. With  the   front  brake only  there  is a chance of somersaulting, while with tho rear only there is a danger of "fishtailing"{rear wheel skidding sideways), especially on turns.
WHEN   PEDALLING
When pedalling (bicycling), be sure to check the following items.
I.Turn power select lever (I) in tho diroction of ® and turn left pedal  180" clockwise.
2. Turn pedal catch ® (right side) in the direction of (&> completely.   Now you can  pedal.
When replacing to engine drive running, turn power select lever and pedal catch in the direction of (g). And then turn left pedal counterclockwise  until right pedal is fitted to fork   stopper with pedal catch.

Remove filler cap dipstick (p.Then remove dram plug (gi lo drain the oil while it is warm. Refill up to upper level on level   gauge.

(2)  CONTACT   BREAKER POINTS
Open contact breaker points Q) with a fmger or small screwdriver and check for condition. Clean them with clean cloth,  if dirty.
(5)  FRONT   AND   REAR   BRAKES
Front  brake  lever  free  play  and  rear  brake  pedal  free
travel should be 20-30rnm (0.8-1.2m.)
Check and  if necessary,   adjust  by  moans of adjusting
nuts.

each cell, making sure it  is
between UPPER LEVEL  and
LOWER LEVEL marks.
Remove cell caps and   add
distilled water, if necessary.
STOPLIGHT SWITCH Stoplight should come on when brako pedal is depressed to the point where brake just begins to be applied. Screw in <&) adjusting nut 0 when stoplight comes on too late,

Clutch lever free play (0 should be 10-20 mm (0.4-0.8in.). Check and. il necessary, loosen lock nut ©and adjust by clutch ad tuster (3)

Turn fool cook CO 10 "S" position and unscrew strainer cap ®. Ther take out 0 ring (3) and strainer (£). Wash strainer in solvent and reassemble. Turn fuel cock to "ON" cositioi and check tor leakage.

(4) DRIVE   CHAIN
Tension is correct when chain Q) has 10-20mm (0.4-0.8in.) sag at a point halfway between sprockets. Remove cotter pm ®. loosen reer axle nut ® and turn adjusting nut (§). Align index mark Q) on both adjusters ® to the same side scale (&. Afier adiustment. retiohten axle nut and attach cotter pin. NOTE :  Adjust  rear  brake after drive chain
adjustment.

Lubricate    drive    chain     as illustrated.

Check   spark   plug    tip    for
carbon   deposits   or    toulmg     , spark plug gap
condition. Clean it with spark     2 Negative electrode
plug cleaner,  if necessary

wire,    wash in solvent  and
wipe  with rag.    Normal   gap
(j)   is   0.6-0.7 mm     (0024-
0.028in.). The adjustment is
made   by   bencmg   negative
electrode ®.

Correct inflatior pressure is 1.8kg/cmI(26p5i) for from tire and 2.0kg/cm" (28psi) for rear tire. Check tiros trom time to time, especially Detore long-distance noes. with a  tire gauge.
